The story behind Ek Creations Studio
Ek Creations Studio began in my grandmother’s basement in Virginia. My happiest memories were the summers I spent with her learning and creating in her studio. When she was 90 she officially passed the mantle to me and I have continued the family tradition of creating and teaching pottery since 2003. However, now the studio is located in NW Austin, TX. I love teaching, and have many students that prefer to learn in my studio, but I also do offsite classes for Girl Scouts to earn their pottery badge and retirement homes to set up recurring classes for their seniors.
My other interest you’ll see here is teaching Ki Gong. Ki Gong has helped me journey through difficult times and strengthen my mind and body. A chronic limp after knee surgery left me frustrated and doubting my health. Through the repetitive exercises of Ki Gong, I was able to rebalance my body and my spirit. By teaching, I am doing. Come participate and discover what helps you too. I am a Blue Shirt Level V certified instructor of World Ki Gong.
Please visit my calendar page to arrange a time for pottery or Ki Gong instruction. I’m looking forward to meeting you!
